Focus and Scope
Izzatuna: Journal of Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir focuses on research in the fields of Qur'anic studies and tafsir. Its scope includes:

  • Tafsir,
  • Principles of Tafsir,
  • Qur'anic Sciences (Ulumul Qur'an),
  • Tajwid,
  • Qira'at Studies,
  • Qur'anic Exegesis (Taujih Al-Qur'an),
  • Rasm Uthmani,
  • Thematic Tafsir, and
  • Living Qur'an.

Peer Review Process
The review policy of Izzatuna: Journal of Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir is as follows:

  1. Every submitted manuscript will be reviewed by two peer reviewers.

  2. The review process employs a double-blind review system, where the identities of both the reviewers and the authors are concealed.

  3. During the review process, reviewers evaluate the alignment of the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusions. They also assess the novelty, scientific impact, and references used in the manuscript.

  4. Based on reviewers' feedback, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept the submission.
    • Require revisions.
    • Request resubmission for further review.
    • Recommend submission to another journal.
    • Reject the manuscript.
  5. An article may be rejected for publication for reasons including:

    • The article falls outside the journal's scope.
    • The article does not adhere to academic writing standards or submission guidelines.
    • Fundamental methodological flaws.
    • The author refuses to make the revisions suggested by reviewers without valid reasoning.
    • Evidence of plagiarism.

Publication Frequency
Izzatuna: Journal of Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir is published biannually, in June and December.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, adhering to the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a broader global exchange of knowledge.
