Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in an editable Microsoft Word (.docx) document file format; PDF files are not accepted.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission has a low similarity index (less than 20%), as evidenced by an attached plagiarism check report.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHOR

  1. Papers must fall within the scope of Qur'anic studies and Tafsir mentioned, be free of plagiarism, and never have been published elsewhere..

  2. Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian (Microsoft Word, Cambria 12, 1 space, A4) or Arabic (Microsoft Word, Traditional Arabic 14, 1 space, A4) and submitted to Izzatuna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir.

  3. The manuscript identity requires a title, full name(s) of the author(s), affiliation, email, 3–5 keywords, and an abstract (approx. 150-200 words) covering the purpose, method, research results, conclusion, and impact.

  4. The content structure for research articles consists of Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and Bibliography.

  5. The Introduction comprises the background, literature review (to establish the state of the art), purpose, and problem formulation, written in a single section without subtitles.

  6. The Method describes the research type, data collection, data source, data type, and data analysis, presented in paragraph form.

  7. The Results and Discussion present original data obtained from fieldwork (questionnaires, surveys, interviews, etc.) or library sources; tables and figures must be centered, numbered consecutively, mentioned in the text, and have titles placed above them.

  8. The Conclusion succinctly states the research results and logical consequences for developing science and praxis; it is not indented and uses bold Cambria 12 font.

  9. The Bibliography must consist of references and citations adhering to the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note, short title subsequent) using a reference manager (Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote).

  10. Arabic-to-Latin transliteration must follow the IJIAT translation guidelines.
