Change in Peer-Review Policy of Izzatuna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir

The Editorial Board of Izzatuna: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir hereby announces a significant change in the journal’s peer-review policy. Until now, manuscripts that successfully passed the desk evaluation stage conducted by the editorial team were reviewed by a single reviewer.

Effective January 1, 2025, all newly submitted manuscripts will be evaluated by two independent reviewers. This adjustment is intended to strengthen the rigor of the review process, ensure greater objectivity, and enhance the overall quality of published articles.

The Editorial Board believes that this policy change will contribute to the advancement of scholarly discourse in the fields of Qur’anic studies and tafsir, while also aligning the journal with best practices in academic publishing. Authors are encouraged to take note of this new requirement when preparing their submissions.
