Journal History

Izzatuna: Journal of Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ushuluddin (STIU) Wadi Mubarak Bogor. The journal is dedicated to disseminating research and scholarly studies in the fields of Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir.

Publication Timeline

2020

The journal was first published with Volume 1, Number 1, marking the beginning of Izzatuna’s contribution to academic discourse in Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir. At its inception, the journal was issued annually. The editorial board consisted entirely of lecturers from STIU Wadi Mubarak Bogor, while the reviewers were drawn from STIU Wadi Mubarak Bogor and STIQ Ar-Rahman Bogor.

2021

The journal continued with Volume 2, Number 1, maintaining its commitment to scholarly excellence and academic rigor.

2022

A significant milestone was reached when the journal transitioned to biannual publication, releasing Volume 3 with two issues (June and December). This shift reflected growing scholarly interest and strengthened institutional support.

2023

Volume 4 was published with two issues, continuing the biannual schedule and expanding the journal’s reach within the academic community. During this year, the reviewer base was broadened to include scholars from STIQ Zad Cianjur, further enhancing the diversity of academic perspectives.

2024

Volume 5 was published with two issues, consolidating the journal’s reputation and impact in the field of Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir.

2025

Volume 6, Number 1 was published in June 2025, demonstrating the journal’s sustained growth and scholarly contribution. In this year, the editorial board and reviewer network expanded to include academics from Universitas Al-Amien Prenduan, Institut Ilmu Al-Qur’an Jakarta, and STIQ Asy-Syifa, strengthening national collaboration and scholarly engagement.
